Synopsis

Hollywood royalty Jeremy Jameson has lived a sheltered life with music as his sole focus and only friend. Before embarking on yet another international concert tour, he wanders into a bar in what he considers the middle-of-nowhere and meets a man who wins him over with his friendly smile and easy-going nature. Accountant slash bartender slash adventure-seeker Reg Moore has fun talking and drinking with The Jeremy Jameson and can’t say no when the supposedly straight rock star makes him a once in a lifetime offer: keep him company on his tour by playing the part of his boyfriend.
Listening to music, traveling the world, and jumping off cliffs is fun. Falling in love is even better. But to stay with Jeremy after the stage lights dim, Reg will need to help him realize there’s nothing pretend about their relationship.

Jeremy Jameson is not a normal “rock god”…he’s not into drugs, or sexual encounters with strangers, and he doesn’t like scandal; he’s seen enough of that with his famous parents. While sitting in a bar having a drink, he starts talking with the bartender, Reggie Moore. He’s having a great time because of the conversation with Reggie. After having a few too many drinks Jeremy ends up going home with Reggie and sleeping it off on his couch. In the drunken state Jeremy hatches an idea. He doesn’t want to go out on the road alone, or with women who don’t understand him. Jeremy offers Reggie a “job” to be his pretend boyfriend while he’s on his world tour. There’s only one thing, they have to convince everyone Jeremy is now gay.

Reggie Moore is not a normal bartender. He is a college graduate, has a degree in accounting. He hated his 9-5 office job, so he quit, went back home and started working as a bartender. His dream was to travel the world, but he needed to save money in order to do that. So when he meets “THE” Jeremy Jameson and Jeremy makes this incredible offer it’s hard to turn down. Reggie realizes that Jeremy isn’t gay, and doesn’t want a real boyfriend, but this is Reggie’s way to travel on someone else’s dime. Besides Jeremy is cool and it would be fun to spend time with him and see concerts every night. He could do this, as long as the offer still stands in the morning when Jeremy is sober.

During the world tour the two become friends. Jeremy becomes dependent on Reggie for several things and Reggie started falling for his pretend boyfriend. They banter while playing drinking games, participate in extreme sports, and just enjoy each others company. Will Jeremy discover he is not as straight as he thinks and will Reggie tell Jeremy that he has fallen in love with him? I guess you will have to listen to find out.

I have listened to several of Cardeno C’s audio books and this by far is my favorite. CC has a way of writing characters; you learn who they are and where they’ve been. You understand their mind and soul. The main characters grow together, form a deep bond and then have hot sex. She’s all about the happy ending, but the story always has a meaning and plot.

Charlie David’s narration is smooth as silk. His tone is easily distinguishable between characters. He also grasps Jeremy and Reggie’s personalities and applies emotions at the correct moment. He makes listening to a story very enjoyable.

Rating – 4 stars
Kink level – 3 no kink just detailed sex.

Cardeno C.—CC to friends—is a hopeless romantic who wants to add a lot of happiness and a few awwws into a reader’s day. Writing is a nice break from real life as a corporate type and volunteer work with gay rights organizations. Cardeno’s stories range from sweet to intense, contemporary to paranormal, long to short, but they always include strong relationships and walks into the happily-ever-after sunset.
